Benton PUD Commission Members
Benton PUD is governed by a three member board of commissioners elected by citizens of Benton County. Each commissioner represents a different sector of the county and serves a six year term. Each commissioner also represents Benton PUD as a delegate to various business organizations. The commission terms are staggered so that a different commissioner stands for election every two years.

Lori Sanders became Commissioner in January 2005, began her second term in January 2011 and her third in January 2017. She is the owner and president of Energy Incentives, Inc., a consulting firm on conservation and renewables. A Kennewick native, she brings to Benton PUD 25 years of experience as a successful small business owner. Lori, her husband, Scott and her three children reside in Kennewick.

Jeff Hall was appointed Commissioner in January 2002 after filling an unexpired term. He then ran for election in the fall of 2002 securing his first full term in 2003. He began his second term in January 2009, third term in January 2015, and fourth term in January 2021. Jeff graduated from Prosser High School and then Washington State University with a B.A. in Education. After teaching in Richland, he moved back to Prosser and managed Hall Chevrolet Buick, a family owned and operated business until it sold in 2008. He is the past president of the Washington PUD Association. Jeff and his wife Leontine have three children, Marcus, Andrew and Molly.

Mike Massey

Mike Massey became a Commissioner in January 2025. Mike graduated from Quincy High School and later from Cornell University with a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing. Mike began his career as an agricultural lender with Bank of California in Bellevue. After banking, Mike decided to move to Central Washington to raise a family. For the last 18 years he has managed a potato packing operation in Umatilla. Mike and his wife Kristina have four children who have all attended Kamiakin High School in Kennewick.

Benton PUD Commission Meetings
Benton PUD's regular commission meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:00 AM. The meetings are held at the Kennewick administration office located at 2721 West 10th Avenue. Commission meeting packets are typically posted the Friday prior to a regular commission meeting but no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting. Commission meeting minutes will be posted after they are approved at the following commission meeting, normally a two-week delay. Meeting dates, times, locations, and meeting packets are subject to change.
