On Monday, April 20, we were alerted to a safety hazard when a vehicle hit and damaged a BPA transmission structure in Prosser.
Our team responded immediately in partnership with BPA, with little time to notify customers before the outage began.
In the 48 hours that followed, crews also responded to a second incident involving a vehicle striking a pole and multiple incidents involving pole fires. We’re grateful that no one sustained serious injuries.
Outages are never convenient. But through each situation, our crews stayed focused on what matters most: safety and restoring power as quickly as possible.
Each outage was restored within 3-5 hours.
