What rebates are available from Benton PUD?

How long does the program last?

The program is effective through September 30, 2011, or until funding expires.  Dishwasher rebates are only offered through September 30, 2010.

How can I apply for a rebate?

• See ya Later Refrigerator
• ENERGY STAR® Appliances
• Weatherization and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
• ENERGY STAR® Homes
• ENERGY STAR® Manufactured Homes

When will I receive the rebate?

• See ya Later Refrigerator:  Customers with a qualified refrigerator will receive a rebate approximately 30 days from the collection date.
• ENERGY STAR® Appliances: Once the application (including the receipt) is completed and processed, the rebate will be mailed to the customer within 30 days.
• Weatherization and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC):  Rebates are provided to customers in the form of a credit on the project invoice from an Approved Benton PUD Contractor once the project is completed.
• ENERGY STAR® Homes:  The rebate is provided to ENERGY STAR® Home builders.  Please call 582-1234 for more information.
• ENERGY STAR® Manufactured Homes:  Once the application (including the Certificate of Compliance) is completed and processed, the rebate will be mailed to the customer within 30 days.

Why should I purchase energy efficient appliances or make energy efficient home improvements?

The more energy efficient your home is, the less it costs to heat and cool and the lower your utility bills. Energy Efficient appliances will also help lower your utility bills.  Using less energy is also good for the environment because it helps reduce air pollution and conserve natural resources.

Where can I purchase ENERGY STAR® appliances, heat pumps, insulation or windows?

Qualified appliance products can be found in most stores. Some retailers have partnered with ENERGY STAR® to train their sales staff about energy efficiency so they can provide you with advice about purchasing energy-efficient products for your home and office. To find an ENERGY STAR® store, visit www.energystar.gov.

Where can I find a list of ENERGY STAR® Manufactured Home dealers, ENERGY STAR® home builders, or weatherization and HVAC contractors?

Can I install my own insulation, heat pumps or windows and still receive the rebate?

No, all weatherization and HVAC measures must be performed by an Approved Benton PUD Contractor.
