Benton PUD Key Customer Meeting Information

The 2009 Key Customer Meeting was recently held to update our large customers on programs, issues and challenges we face in the future.  Scott Corwin, Executive Director of the Public Power Council, gave an overview on BPA’s power rate case and regional issues impacting wholesale power rates.  Randy Gregg, Benton PUD Director of Power Management, discussed power supply issues from Benton PUD’s perspective; Rick Dunn, Benton PUD Director of Engineering, updated the group on AMI Smart Grid and Broadband.  Climate change legislation was discussed by Karen Miller, Manager of Communications and Government Relations, and Chad Bartram, Assistant General Manager, wrapped it up with financial and rate issues.

“It was good turn out with some excellent, positive questions from our customers,” said Jim Sanders, General Manager.
